Primary Research Objectives
To provide the Lottery with an understanding
of its players and non-players by game in order to provide concrete
guidance for investments in new games and to guide the development of
game enhancements. To measure and track changes in attitudes
towards the Lottery and it games. To measure and track changes in
game awareness.
Methodology Employed
Quantitative – Internet data collection with
n=1,000 residents (18 and above) of the state.
Hurdles to Overcome
Converting from telephone-based to
Internet-based data collection without compromising the information's
decision-making ability. Developing and revising question protocol
to match with previous studies and developing new sampling sources that
provide projectable results.
InfoTek’s Impact
Converted from telephone-based to
Internet-based data collection in order to decrease the cost of the
research. Developed one of the first Internet-based methodologies
to sample populations for state and provincial agencies.
