Researchers
Beaverton, Oregon -
Dec
10, 2005 InfoTek
Research Group, Inc.
announces that it has joined the Association of Qualitative Researchers
(AQR) the leading authority on related issues in the UK and
internationally. Founded in
the early 1980s, AQR is a recognized and respected organization in the
marketing services arena. It represents the interests of its
members, currently some 1,150 individuals, who are directly involved in
qualitative research: not just researchers, recruiters and field
managers but also clients, academics, ad agency planners, etc.
It also seeks to take the industry forward
by being a catalyst for change.
AQR has always provided a forum in which
qualitative research developments can be raised and debated, standards
maintained and enhanced, new skills learnt and shared through its
comprehensive events and education program. These activities happen
increasingly on an international basis.
AQR Philosophy The AQR is an open
association, and seeks involvement not just from practitioner members
but also from others involved in the qualitative research process. It
seeks, in effect, to be the mind, body, soul and voice of commercial
qualitative research, and its aims, through the active participation of
its members, are to:
-
promote qualitative research within the
market research arena and the broader business community, enhancing its
perceived value in the process
-
create, raise and maintain professional
standards in qualitative research, both through education and by
developing and promoting best practice guidelines
-
innovate and encourage new thinking in
qualitative research
-
provide a forum in which members can
interact
